    Professional organizations should play an important role in the career of all school library media specialists. Whether participating in local activities or joining international events, these groups help individuals keep in touch with important issues, enhance professional skills, and develop leadership skills. The project was jointly managed by the Indiana Department of Public Instruction and the Indiana Cooperative Library Services Authority (incolsa), a state-wide multi-type library network.
